 It’s with great pleasure and keen joy that I address my warm greetings to all those who are invited to take part in the IAAF/MAROC TELECOM World Youth Championships to be held in Marrakesh.
The choice of Morocco to host this prestigious international sporting manifestation is particularly a great honour for my country, Morocco and the Royal Moroccan Athletics Federation for its continuous efforts to promote and develop this sport which is mostly cherished by the whole Moroccan youth. Besides, the organising of this athletic event is a sincere expression of respect owed to the kingdom of Morocco, land of peace, tolerance, meetings and dialogue.
Also, I seize this marvellous opportunity to welcome the IAAF President, the IAAF Council Members, the responsibles of all National Federations and the whole athletics family me.
My wish of success is extended to all athletes coming from the five world continents to participate in this international important meeting.
